KnotLove Privacy Policy

At KnotLove, we take your privacy seriously — and we believe you shouldn’t need a law degree to understand it. Here’s the deal:

1. What We Collect (Spoiler: Not Much)

KnotLove is designed to keep data collection to a minimum. We don’t need your life story — just enough to make your experience awesome.

You can choose to share:

  • Email Address (optional) — for sign-in and account recovery.
  • Phone Number (optional) — for sign-in and account recovery.

That’s it! No creepy trackers, no ad-stalking, and no hosted AI snooping around. Any AI features we use are run by us, right on our own secure systems.

2. How We Use Your Info

  • Email and Phone Number: If you give us these, we’ll only use them to help you log in, recover your account, or respond to your questions.
  • App Data: KnotLove securely stores your activity data, like matched activities with your partner, to keep things running smoothly.

3. Where Your Data Lives (And Stays Safe)

Your data is stored securely with AWS, and everything is encrypted at rest and in transit for maximum protection.

AWS’s Shared Responsibility Model keeps things locked down with top-notch security infrastructure — and we build on that by adding even more layers of protection. Your data’s got bodyguards, trust us.

4. Deleting Your Account (Goodbye, But Not Forever)

If you decide to leave KnotLove (we’ll be sad!), you can delete your account directly in the app. Here’s how it works:

  • Your account will go into a pending delete phase for 7 to 21 days — just in case you change your mind.
  • After that, your account data will be permanently deleted.
  • Matched activities are like a special gift for your partner — they’ll stay in their account to keep shared memories intact.

5. Payments (For Now, None)

KnotLove doesn’t handle payments yet. When we do, we’ll follow strict security practices to ensure your payment info stays private and untraceable back to your account.

6. Sharing Your Data (We Don’t)

We do not sell, share, or give away your data — period. The only exception is if we’re legally required to comply with law enforcement or government requests (but only if we absolutely have to).

7. Children’s Privacy

KnotLove is made for grown-ups. You must be at least the age of consent in your region.
We are not designed for kids under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

8. When This Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or changes to KnotLove. We’ll always post those updates here, so check back now and then.
